Battlegrounds Notice

Hello everyone remember you are fair game when you enter the battlegrounds. Though things in the arena area are set up for even duels, there is the possiblity that people may try to interfere with these duels. I wouldn't like to see the schools/clans doing such things. If someone interviens in your duel, tell them to stop. IM Esprite Xavier if it continues.

C:SI Event: Samurai Island School Showdown

Clan/School Tournament
Monday 21st 2006 7:00pm SL time

On Monday there will be a tournament between the C:SI clans/schools. The winning clan/school will recieve 5,000 linden in prize money to be used as they see fit. All schools are expected to particpate.

Schools/Clans will provide a member to fight in each round. Though, they may decide whether or not to have a member fight the entire time or have a team taking turns per round.
There will be 3 matches per division, and then a final battle between the two division champion.

There will also be several rounds of Ayame Mushashi's Master's Treasure game that will be open to the public with various amounts of prize money that will go to each rounds winners.

The public is welcome but we ask no other fighting occur while the tournament is going on and that laggy script attachments are limited. So we can have as smooth an event as possible.

On another note, Kitsumez Goodlife's school Harukoken is leaving Samurai Island and disbanding because of real life responsibilities. We all wish Kitsumez good luck in the future, and safety. Good Bye!

Currently there are 8 schools and 2 divisons in C:SI. Before you are able to join the Samurai Island Warriors group and are officially recongized as a samurai on the islands you'll need to first join one of these groups.

Mission(goals): To teach those who do not use the blade the basic fundamentals of sword combat and allow each to develop their own unique style of combat. Most training is self training after the fundamentals are learned.

Welcome to Combat:Samurai Island

Please read all of the rules. lack of knowledge of the rules is no excuse for bad behavior.

Rules:
#1: Warning! If you are in the battlegrounds you are fair game!
If you are inside the battlegrounds, you are fair game and can be attacked at anytime. If you are going to walk away from the keyboard or stand and chat, you do so at your own risk!

Admins will not respond to complaints about being attacked in the battlegrounds. Admins will only respond to reports of serious griefing or cheating!

#2: Outside scripted objects.
Outside scripted objects, defined as any objects that are not specificly made by the C:SI Team for use in the battlegrounds, are not allowed.

This includes, but is not limited to: guns, bombs, cagers, trapping devices, push guns and push devices, orbiters, teledash and teleporting devices, shields, star wars force powers (considered a trapping and/or push device), non-physical movers, channel scanners, flight assist devices that allow you to fly in the no-fly zone (The battlegrounds are no-fly for a reason), and any device that gives you an unfair advantage in a fight.

Guns should never be wielded, even if they don't have scripting, others may draw their guns if they see yours out. Wearing guns on other parts of your body as decoration is fine.

AO are allowed but ONLY while not in a fight, unless the AO only has poses/animations that DO NOT override those of the sword.

Examples:
A walking or running animation is acceptable.
A standing animation that keeps your opponent from knowing when your attacking, is NOT acceptable.

#3: If you rez objects, clean up after yourself.
The Battlegrounds are not a sandbox. If you leave your things lying around, they will be deleted or returned. If you are a repeat offender, you will be banned for disrupting the battlegrounds. Respect the area, and the area will respect you!

4#: No combat in the shopping area outside the battlegrounds.
DO NOT attack customers who are shopping in the commercial areas of either Samurai Island or Samurai Tokyo. Doing so will be considered griefing and you will be banned.

If you simply want to spar with friends outside of the battlegrounds, you can (until further notice) use the Japanese Gardens area in the South West corner of the sim. This area is for everyone to enjoy, not just people fighting, so be respectful of anyone else who might be a guest of the gardens. Please keep all combat inside the battlegrounds or the japanese gardens.

ANYONE WHO VIOLATES THE RULES WILL BE BANNED.
A warning for first time offense may be given, but don't count on it!

IMPORTANT: DO NOT contact KatanaBlade Anubis with anything other than serious griefing. She is the owner of the sims and will only handle serious griefing issues. Direct all other issues to one of the three admins.

Thank you for your intrest in becoming an official school at recognized at Samurai Island. Schools will serve as a method to "train" those who want to enter the Samurai Island Warriors group. As well as provide means for brand new elements in the combat system!.
When you have completed this applcation, please send it to Esprite Xavier. Only a limited number of schools will be selected, please keep this in mind when filling this application out.

Though you may establish your own rules within your schools keep in mind the following.
As a school/clan master or leader, you will play the role of a mentor. Preparing your "students" for membership in the samurai island warriors group. Where they will be recognized as official samurai on samurai island. There will be several schools, though we will limit the number of active ones to be below 40 at all times.
Thus ask you do not turn away students who ask for entry however if you find they are better suited for another group, then it may be wise to advise them to change the school they attend.
Seven virtues associated with Bushido

All students must be an active member of your schools group for at least a week before they are allowed to be a be considered for membership in samurai island warriors.
We ask you take this time to determine their maturity, use your own judgment as to how long they need to be "trained". In the future they will represent your group, and any wrong they commit will be reflected on your entire group. Let them know who to respect and how they are expected to behave. (For example if your student is disrespectful to the the sim owner, that will not be tolerated....its generally a bad idea whether your a samurai or not..).
Remember we do not allow use of 3rd party objects to get an advantage. We will leave this up to the schools to monitor. However if an applicant was knowingly submitted that cheats, the school/clan may lose its recognition as an official school/clan. Fire arms are also not allowed.
We encourage you to instill a sense of pride within your schools, and a friendly rivalry with others. However any unwarranted hostility will not be tolerated! Do not allow your members to act in a way that would be considered dishonorable.In the end we are all samurai island warriors.
As we continue to develop this combat system, support for schools will expand, making their roles more important. Maybe even expanding to having events centered around school rivalry.
